This explains, in plain English, what information MyDiro Digital collects, why, and what your rights are. We keep it simple because we don't do anything sneaky with your data.
Who we are
MyDiro Digital is a web-design studio based in Staffordshire. The data controller responsible for your personal information is Richard Hackney, trading as MyDiro Digital. To contact us about your data, email hello@mydiro.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you request a free website review: your name, business name, email, phone number, your current website address (if you give one), and your consent to be contacted.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as your IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.
- If you use the chat assistant: the questions you type (and any contact details you choose to leave) are processed to answer you and, with your consent, to follow up your enquiry.
- If you become a client: your account details, the content you supply for your website, enquiry records shown in your dashboard, and our support conversations with you.
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't build profiles on you. Payments are handled by our payment provider by Direct Debit; card and bank details are never collected or stored by this website.
Why we use it
Only to do what you asked: respond to your enquiry and prepare the free review. We rely on your consent (given when you tick the box) and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us. We will not email you marketing unless you separately ask us to.
Who handles it
- Netlify — hosts the website and securely stores enquiry-form submissions on our behalf.
- Resend — sends our emails to you (confirmations and replies) on our behalf.
- Supabase — securely stores enquiry and client-dashboard records on our behalf.
- Anthropic — powers the chat assistant; the messages you type are processed to generate its replies.
- Fonts — served from our own website, not from Google or any third party. Visiting this site sends no requests to font providers.
We never sell your information or share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to help you — and no longer than 24 months — then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Just email hello@mydiro.co.uk and we'll sort it. If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also contact the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
